1. Molecular and macromolecular mobility
The properties of molecules, molecular assemblies and materials are linked to their composition, structure and dynamic properties. The latter are expressed through different dynamic modes (vibrations, librations, rotations, molecular jumps, reorientations, breathings, translations, transports...) which correspond to movements that can be individual, concerted or collective, spatially localized or extended.
Describing these different types of movement requires analysis on extended time and space scales. This type of analysis therefore requires the combined use of numerous spectroscopic techniques, including NMR, which provides a wealth of tools (see figure
