1. Geometric elements that make up a part

  • Lepoint

    In general, because the materials are too brittle to ensure that the edges are perfectly sharp, the point has no physical representation on mechanical parts.

    However, it often appears as a fictitious element in geometric objects (such as the center of a sphere or the apex of a cone).

    Example

    Examples: the apex of a cone (see figure 1 ), the intersection of the three planes of the faces of a rectangular prism, the center of a circle or a sphere (see figure 1 ).
