Once the quantitative mapping of the leakage magnetic field produced by the sample has been obtained, the next step is to extract information about the magnetic texture under study. The main obstacle to overcome is that there is no bijective correspondence between the magnetization pattern and the magnetic field distribution it produces.

Two different magnetization configurations can produce the same field map. As a result, two approaches are possible: either we have an accurate model of the magnetic texture, which we use to calculate the expected leakage field map and compare it with the experimental data, or we try to invert the relationship between $\overrightarrow{B}$ and $$
