The function of these instruments is to divide bulk products into practically constant, separate doses of predetermined mass, known as nominal quantities, and to fill individual containers, adapted to the products.
This instrument fills suitable containers with bulk materials (e.g. powder, granules, liquids, solids). The distribution of a nominal quantity of bulk product corresponding to a predetermined mass is constant.
The range of nominal dose quantities is very wide, from a few milligrams (e.g. pharmaceuticals) to several tens or even hundreds of kilograms (e.g. coal, cement, fertilizers, cereals, sand), and even a few tens or hundreds of grams (e.g. food products sold to the retail trade).
