INTRODUCTION
Observing changes in our environment, whether physical or chemical, relies essentially on obtaining analytical data. Galileo already expressed what environmental scientists experience on a daily basis: Everything must be measured, and what is not yet measurable must be made measurable. The knowledge we need to better understand the equilibrium of ecosystems depends on our ability to measure the interactions between elements and living organisms, which represents a real technological challenge.
