Flicker

Light flicker due to fluctuations in mains voltage, itself caused by fluctuations in reactive power and active power circulating in the grid.

Watted current

Expression of the so-called active current, linked to active power. Corresponds to current I × cosφ. Directly proportional to active power. Equivalent to the current I_d in the expression I = I_d + j × I_q, with axis d related to voltage.

Dewatted current

Expression of the so-called reactive current, linked to reactive power, including sign. Corresponds to current (– I × sinφ). Directly proportional to reactive power, sign included. Equivalent to current (– I_q) in the expression I = I_d + j × I_q, with d axis related to voltage.
