Electromagnetic induction heating: technology

It's clear that induction is a fast-growing industrial technology worldwide. Its applications are diversifying, and include materials previously considered inaccessible to this technique. However, the cost of materials is still prohibitive for applications where induction is in direct competition with other heating techniques, whether electric or not. This is an obstacle to the development of induction, which is why major efforts are currently being made, at the instigation of EDF and electrical industry manufacturers, to reduce these costs. The aim is to bring a range of low-cost, medium-power generators to market quickly, so that new applications can become competitive.
