2. Generator sizing

One of the most common problems encountered when designing a generator set is how to optimally size it for the load impact it will have to cope with. Increasingly, it is also necessary to define the genset, and in particular the alternator, according to the nature of the load (non-linear loads).

We'll look at these two aspects below, providing simple calculation methods for appropriate generator sizing.
