4. Electrical diagrams of RTE network substations
In France, transmission and interconnection functions are performed mainly by the 400 kV network, and occasionally by the 225 kV network. Transformers supply power at 225, 90 and 63 kV to regional distribution networks, which in turn supply power to medium-voltage distribution networks (mainly 20 kV).
A functional classification of stations, based on the role of the structures, can be detailed as shown in the figure
