3. Non-magnetic current transformer. Rogowski torus
The Rogowski toroid, or coil, takes the form of a conductive winding wound on a toroidal mandrel made of a non-ferromagnetic material, giving it excellent linearity characteristics due to the absence of saturation.
When parasitic capacitances are negligible, the equivalent diagram in figure 11 can be used. The Rogowski coil can be used in two different ways.
3.1 Use for high-frequency current measurement
The Rogowski coil is used as a conventional current transformer, i.e. loaded by a very low-value resistor R (figure 12 ).
