5.1.1 Power supply from one end
This is the most common case of a single feeder. The aim is to protect the cable against overloads and short-circuits that may occur downstream or on the cable itself. Permissible currents as a function of time, type of conductor and insulation, installation method, etc., or the information needed to calculate them, are given in cable manufacturers' catalogs.
