1. Context
Due to the low density of molecular hydrogen under ambient conditions of temperature and pressure, its storage typically requires :
or very high pressures: compressed hydrogen, CGH2, between 350 and 700 bar;
or very low temperatures: liquefied hydrogen, LH2, – 252°C).
The advantage of this type of storage is that it supplies very pure hydrogen, without any additional separation process. However, it requires tanks adapted to these extreme storage conditions, which are often bulky, heavy and costly because they are technologically advanced.
