4. Some specific methodologies
As we have seen in the preceding paragraphs, disturbances are essentially slots in either temperature (i.e. sensible heat) or flow (an extensive variable rather than an intensive one).
However, in many of the practical problems we encounter, the demands can be quite arbitrary. In such cases, specific methods are useful.
