4. Protective chains
Protections can be broken down into three groups according to their purpose:
nuclear boiler protection ;
generating set protection ;
water station protection.
4.1 Nuclear boiler protection
During the development of abnormal situations in the nuclear boiler, protection is provided by logic circuits which, depending on the case, trigger different protective actions:
automatic reactor shutdown ;
start-up of GV emergency feedwater ;
isolation of steam lines from the high-speed generator;
