4. Conclusion
Thanks to France's extensive nuclear power program, considerable experience has been gained in the construction and operation of key plant components. This feedback has enabled us to adopt a long-term continuous improvement approach, leading to even safer, more sustainable nuclear power plants.
In the case of welding pressure equipment for nuclear power plants and safety-relevant civil engineering steel structures, we have shown how precautions are taken to ensure the safety of installations, and how feedback from manufacturing and operating experience is incorporated.
In order to be both efficient and industrial, these precautions apply equally to base materials, filler materials and welding processes.
