2. Inverse methods applied to transfers in infinite media
The aim of this section is to illustrate the similarities and differences between conduction and inverse convection, through a detailed analysis of the formulation and resolution of elementary inverse problems. The idea is first to determine and compare the heating generated by a point source in an infinite medium, in conduction-only mode and in "conduction + transport" mode, and then to develop the inverse problem in both cases.
