Enzymatic activity; Activité enzymatique
An enzymatic activity is the action of an enzyme on substrate molecules transformed into a reaction product. Without going into too much detail, an enzyme activity is reversible, working in one direction or another depending on the relative concentrations of substrate and product.
Batch: batch culture or batch process; Discontinuous Batch Process
This is the most common microbial culture process used in industry. No intervention on the volume or constituents of the starting medium, until the end of the process. Biomass increases according to the microbial growth curve.
Enzyme; Enzyme
Protein molecule that catalyzes a biochemical reaction. It lowers the activation energy required to start a reaction.
