. The RàPC approach is not so far removed from TRIZ methods and tools, as both are based on reasoning by analogy and exploit a knowledge base. However, the major difference between the two approaches lies in the level of abstraction of the reasoning. Indeed, RàPC reasons at the same level of abstraction between the problem and the solution, whereas TRIZ changes level, due to reformulation, with reasoning taking place at the level of the problem and the generic solution.
