Blowing compressed gas into the filter cake is a dewatering method that is used as soon as the medium is sufficiently permeable (permeability of 10^-10 to 10^-15 m²), as the operation takes place on the filter itself, which reduces investment. To predict performance, we need to determine :

• the saturation equilibrium reached at the end of the operation;

• the flow of gas consumed ;

• prediction of moisture profiles in the cake.
