3. Example of absorption calculation
A gas consisting of air and hydrogen sulfide H2S (in low concentration) is to be purified using a packed column. The operating conditions are as follows:
water flow: 10 m3 · h–1;
gas flow (air): 100 m3 · h–1;
the temperature is a constant 20 °C ;
the pressure is 100 kPa ;
we use a filling of 1.25 cm Raschig rings.
