1. Lucas model

The units used in this dossier are not always those of the SI system. Indeed, equations borrowed from the scientific literature are often defined with old units such as the poise (P), the angstrom (Å), the atmosphere (atm), the debye. Remember that 1 P = 0.1 Pa.s; 1 Å = 0.1 nm; 1 atm = 101325 Pa = 1.01325 bar = 0.101325 MPa; 1 debye = 3.335 × 10- ³⁰ C.m.

Lucas [1] suggested that the variation of liquid viscosity with pressure could be estimated from the following equation:
