1.1 General recommendations

Structural diagrams representing stereochemistry must be prepared with particular care to ensure that there is no ambiguity . In general, single lines represent bonds that lie approximately in the plane of the drawing. Bonds going to atoms above the plane are represented by solid line triangles .
