3. Overview of technology sources
These are directories of substances or preparations, linked to bibliographic or factual databases. Compounds are identified by their nomenclature, trivial or trade names, various technical names, Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) registry number (RN), molecular, global or semi-developed formula, ring analysis and chemical structure in the form of its fragmentary or topological coding.
In most files, compounds have a defined structure. These include :
