ABSTRACT
Nanosystems are increasingly used in the industrial world. Indeed, this significantly expanding market is developing and designing new microsystem components. After providing a brief overview of the present situation, this article describes the quantum phenomena present in nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS). The scale reduction effect and quantified/quantum phenomena are dealt with in particular. The electrodynamic forces in the microcomponent domain which, until now, have not been taken into consideration must therefore be included in the modeling of the NEMS.
