Some perspectives on these "highly controlled" molecular architectures

We have seen, through the examples presented, that soap films in their final stage after drainage are highly organized and well-defined systems. Since the first studies on the macroscopic properties of films, new aspects of these beautiful systems have been discovered: their strong potential for self-organization, which truly enables the construction of molecular assemblies with a wide variety of properties and shapes. In the coming years, we can hope to use black films to condense nanoparticles of very diverse natures, such as carbon nanotubes, into very thin layers. As these objects are very thin and therefore very fragile in the form of free films, we can now control their deposition on solid substrates and manipulate them very easily.
