The perceived structure of a hypertext is based on the notion of links between information. The idea of using, in an automatic machine, free relations that materialize associations of ideas in preference to logical relations that materialize reasoning, to access information, is attributed to Vannevar Bush [1] (figure 6 ).

The use of links between information enables a more natural style of interaction with the document, better suited to the exploration of new domains by non-expert users, by avoiding them having to reason or construct queries about a domain they know nothing about.
