Indexing and archiving of multimedia contents

The archiving and indexing of multimedia content have become commonplace in recent years due to the proliferation of content and the diversification of stakeholders. But while more and more people are asking this question, and while more and more content is affected, this does not mean that the problems associated with archiving and indexing have been resolved. At best, we have become aware of their difficulty and their importance.

There are two ways to approach these tasks: based on the intended purpose, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the solutions to be implemented; or based on the techniques that can be employed within those solutions.
