11. Problems PCP is not designed to solve
In the context of large-scale IP address sharing, recurring questions arise. However, these issues cannot be resolved by PCP.
A few examples of these questions are presented in this section.
"All clients connected behind a CGN request port number 8080. How can I allocate this port number to them?" You can't satisfy this request, as it's one of the side-effects of any large-scale address sharing mechanism . PCP can satisfy as many clients as distinct IP addresses, but never all clients.
