Electronic circuit for random-numbers generation

There are many references on random number generators, their empirical evaluation or theoretical analysis, and their use in different applications. French research teams are very active in the field of random number generators. So it's not out of pure chauvinism that we reference various works, theses and books in French, but because good references are naturally available in that language.

In D. Knuth's encyclopedic "The Art of Computer Programming", there is a very good introduction to pseudo-random generators, statistical tests, some uses and examples
