From a practical point of view, SER measurement simply consists of measuring the field diffracted by an object, through the parameter S, measured by the VNA. This may relate to the target under test, but also to an empty chamber or a standard. The calculation of the SER level will be deduced from these measured data using different approaches, which we present below.
