is perfectly suited to the railway world.
To determine the obsolescence strategy for a product or system, obsolescence risks must be assessed using a recognized evaluation method. For example, the probability and impact of obsolescence can be assessed over the life cycle. This assessment should be carried out at the initial design stage, and reviewed periodically.
