The Dutch system seems to be running smoothly. On the one hand, the rail system is reaping the rewards of a planning policy devised by the government over 20 years ago. On the other, the government's strategy of making cycling a cornerstone of its mobility strategy is proving successful. All in all, it seems to be "working". However, nothing is ever certain... Despite its lead, the country is also facing some much-needed adjustments.
On the one hand, a number of recently-built bike parks are already full or seem to suffer from a lack of fluidity at certain times of the day. Poor calibration? The reality is more complex.
