5. Conclusion
In this brief introduction to biomathematics, we have focused on discrete and continuous dynamic modeling techniques for living systems. The future lies in the development of tools that facilitate the formalization of dynamics at all levels of complexity of the living system studied, from the gene to the population of individuals, via the cell and the organism. A good example is the understanding of innate and acquired immune mechanisms in mammals.
