3. Conclusion
This article looks at the main enzyme families found in acellular cells and prokaryotes. From viral acellulars with their minimalist genomes to prokaryotic cells considered to be the smallest living units, a structuring is established and enzymes function in a restricted space that must be compatible with the life of the living organism.
This provides an initial basis for understanding how bacterial or viral enzymes from infectious agents can be targeted in the development of new pharmacologically active structures.
