From the point of view of performance, the success of a project is measured a priori by comparing what is expected and noted in a specification with what is actually achieved: the set of values for the characteristics of the building delivered. Between the two lies a production process, the project. Modeling the production process therefore appears to be a prerequisite for describing the dynamics of achieving performance in relation to the resources allocated and any disruptions to the production process.
