8. Conclusion
The function of air conditioning is to ensure summer and winter comfort in homes, offices, shops and workshops, by modifying the air temperature so that occupants don't feel cold or hot.
In summer, it's important that the inside temperature is no more than 5-6°C lower than the outside temperature, to avoid the risk of disease, whereas in winter, only the inside temperature needs to be taken into consideration.
In existing single-family homes, splits powered by an inverter heat pump have become increasingly popular, with a preference for room splits over multisplits, which are no more economical. These systems are much easier to install than ducted systems.
Solutions with radiators are reserved for replacing a boiler with a heat pump, as they don't produce cold in summer.
