Altitude

The elevation of a building is that of its main entrance.

Bay

An opening in an exterior wall is used for lighting, passage or ventilation. A transparent or translucent wall is considered a bay.

Attached buildings

Two buildings are said to be adjoined if they are juxtaposed and linked by adjoining walls, with a contact area of at least 15 m² for houses and 50 m² for other buildings. Attached buildings are considered as a single building.

Residential buildings

Residential buildings include detached or attached houses, apartment buildings, young workers' hostels and university halls of residence.
