9. Potential pathology
The disorders that generally affect this type of structure are :
infiltrating or non-infiltrating cracks ;
soiling ;
detachment of exterior plaster ;
bursting of the concrete due to rust developing on the reinforcing bars;
the appearance of mould on the inside of walls.
The aim of diagnosis is to identify the disorder(s). The analysis must determine the cause(s) which has (have) produced the effect(s), so as to be able to treat them (the causes and/or effects), and eliminate them.
