Today's technical inspection market operates in three main directions:

  • the mandatory inspection market (structural soundness and personal safety for construction operations as defined in article R. 125-17 of the CCH);

  • the incentive inspection market, in which project owners use technical inspection bodies because they have a financial interest in doing so in terms of insurance (bonus premiums, for example);

  • the direct inspection market, in which construction contractors request services from a technical inspection body without being obliged or encouraged to do so.
