1. Site installation plan objectives – General organization
The site installation plan (SIP) is drawn up to define the organization of the worksite. It is based on a site plan, and sets out the "fixed" equipment needed to build the works, the various work areas, the accommodation for site personnel and, where applicable, the site traffic flow.
This plan, together with the accompanying appendices, summarizes the general organization of the project. It has three objectives:
obtain the necessary authorizations;
provide all information required for the general operation of the site during execution;
serve as a reference for site workers during the installation phase.
