Inaccessible terraces and service areas on load-bearing masonry elements with heavy or self-protecting covers

These are roofs that only receive traffic that is limited to normal maintenance of the waterproofing structures, and equipment or installations that require infrequent servicing (on the order of once or twice a year), such as :

• skylights ;

• smoke vents ;

• controlled mechanical ventilation systems ;

• antennas, signs ;

• elevator machinery.

These roofs may include paths or circulation areas.

The specific contract documents (DPM) set out the layout of these paths or traffic areas.
