Cements

Anhydrous cement is an intimate mixture of one or more constituents, produced either before or after grinding:

• specially manufactured products (clinker);

• by-products from other industries (slag, fly ash) which undergo more or less elaborate selection and preparation for incorporation into cement;

• natural products which, for incorporation into cements, undergo no treatment other than drying and pulverization (fillers, natural pozzolans).

These components provide :

• or hydraulic properties;

• or pozzolanic properties;

• or physical properties that improve certain cement qualities (improved workability and compactness, reduced permeability, etc.).
