2. Rolling beams
Once the overhead crane and its support have been determined, the running girder can be studied. Based on the particular characteristics of the crane described above and the design of the supporting structure imposed by other criteria, such as the distance between supports, different types of running girder are encountered. The interface with the overhead crane can be realized with or without rail, and the stabilization of the track on its supports also presents a variety of possibilities.
Once this has been defined, it is now possible to justify by calculation all the elements that make up this beam and its connections with the overhead crane and the load-bearing structure.
