The execution of steel structures : the EN 1090-2 standard

L'EN 1090-2 is based on a large number of standards, summarized in Article 2 "Normative references". Over a hundred of these relate to "component products" (steels, mechanical fasteners, welding consumables, cables, etc.).

Whether it's structural steels, hot-finished or cold-formed hollow sections, ordinary or prestressed fasteners, or welding consumables, the vast majority of commonly used products are covered by one (or more) European standard(s).

As part of theEN 1090-2All products used must be selected from the European standards referenced in the text of the standard (chapter 2), and must be accompanied by a control document.

This calls for a number of comments and/or clarifications.
