For some 50 years now, certain building components have been prefabricated in factories to facilitate and speed up construction. They can then be easily assembled on site. Prefabrication can be used for all wall, facade, floor, door, partition and roof panel elements (figure 1 ). It enables structural elements (which provide mechanical strength), thermal and sound insulation, decorative aspects (decorative finishes, tiling, etc.) and other functional elements (waterproofing, connections, anti-penetration safety, fixing brackets, etc.) to be integrated into a single component.
