5. Conclusion
The behavior of carts differs somewhat from that of overhead cranes, particularly in terms of induced actions. In particular, attention has been drawn to this difference in transverse horizontal actions.
Nevertheless, the overall approach to the justification of such structural elements remains conventional, the essential particularity residing, on the one hand, in the determination of the local stresses acting on the bottom flange on which the cart rollers run, and, on the other hand, in the associated double verification criterion: plastic capacity of the flange and elastic verification of the skin stresses.
