As explained in the preceding paragraphs, the following information is required to justify/verify the cross-sections of monorail beams:

• lowering of cart loads (Q_c, Q_h or Q_c + Q_h) per roller or pair of rollers;

• dynamic coefficient(s) to be applied ;

• whether or not it is necessary to consider a horizontal transverse effort and, if so, the value(s) to be considered;

• the distance between rollers in the direction of the beam (noted "x_W ");

• roller spacing (or location of the point of impact of the load on the roller in relation to the edge of the flange, noted "n");
