A lift station is sometimes required for :

• bring wastewater to the top of an infiltration mound;

• feed a drained vertical sand filter so that treated water can be discharged into an outfall (if there is a slight difference in level between the home's wastewater outlet and the outfall);

• supply other treatment systems according to the topography of the site, the dimensions of wastewater outlets and the excavation depths to be respected.
