1. Walls and partitions
Concrete blocks are generally parallelepipedic in shape, with limited weight (< 25 kg) and small dimensions. They are easy to handle and require no lifting equipment. They can be used to build walls with complex geometries, whether load-bearing or not.
Block production reaches nearly 15 million tonnes (2020 figures). They are manufactured in over 300 plants, most of which hold the NF mark. In France, nearly 7 out of 10 masonry projects are built using concrete blocks.
