The various types of ceramic cladding are :

• fine vitrified porcelain stoneware, glazed or unglazed, frost-resistant, totally non-porous, with excellent chemical resistance and good dimensional tolerances;

• drawn vitrified stoneware (glazed or unglazed), which has similar characteristics to the above, but with poorer dimensional tolerances;

• terracotta tiles, which are porous and absorb up to 10-15% water;

• marble, various stone paving ;

• glass pastes ;

• earthenware, which is porous and absorbs up to 10% water; it is only used for wall coverings.
